How Beautiful Art Transcends any Ailment

So I woke up this morning feeling detached and outside-of-myself. I’ve been walking around in a cloud for a few days due to a series of ill-timed migraines, followed by a wickedly-stylish Summer cold. When the dark-domino’s of life fall, you have to find a way to trick one of those perfectly placed little pieces out of alignment in order to disrupt the bad-luck flow.

For me it’s time to get tricky-with-it when the “Brain Fog” sets-in. This is when the cloud I spoke about actually begins to infiltrate your brain, and everything threatens to become one big-dizzy mess of confusion. This is why it is vital that you don’t succumb to the seduction of stress. Stress is like that “Bitchy-Girl” in high school – sweet to your face, but dying for you to to take a Big-Fat-Fall.

Don’t let that “Stress-Bitch” get you!  The best way to trick yourself back2life is to get inspired.  Find your passion, and you’ll find your fight.  I got a great little jolt of juice this morning when I came across these images of Alys Hale (via fashiongonerogue).  The ethereal disjointed nature of these grand pieces was just the medicine I needed.  Great works of art move us because we find connection to the work, but ultimately to ourselves.  From behind his lens, Rokus Darulis gave me an alternative option, and allowed me to adopt his foggy mastery – turning my ailment to art.
