Zhang Jingna takes Bridal-Beauty to a New Era in Coldflowers

I am rarely moved by bridal layouts, unless they are the truly Avant-Garde images straight from the Runway – created by the likes of Gautier or Galliano.  However, when I came upon this “Singapore Brides” Editorial from Coldflowers (via fashiongonerogue), I was inspired.  Finding a truly fashion-forward concept from a Bridal Collection, is like finding a needle in a “Fashion-Haystack”, but these works by Photographer Zhang Jingna, are breaking some serious molds.

They have brought a completely modern approach to the Beauty, and elevated these designs from elegant to Edgy/Chic.  The stick-straight hair echoes the clean lines of the gowns, and adds an understated drama that is unexpected in this world.  The ethereal makeup, highlighted by soft-brown shadow coaxing the eyes to pop, without the usual black-liner – is truly Masterful.  This rebellious choice adds an “Other-Worldy” quality to the face when matched with the perfect matte Scarlett-Lip.  This is the Bride of the New-Era.
