Twisted-Steel & Fashion Appeal, Lindsey Wixson for Purple Fashion

These two seemingly opposing forces came together in one symbiotic artistic movement, each elevating the other, to form this amazing editorial-layout for the 16th issue of Purple Fashion, answering the question, “Can you ever really go home again?” With some of Fall’s hottest looks from Prada, Balenciaga, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Haider Ackermann, Giorgio Armani, and Lanvin in tow – Terry Richardson captures Lindsey Wixson visiting some of the collective “Down-Home” haunts we all enjoyed in our youth.  Providing an amazing backdrop, the graffiti-scarred buildings and twisted-steel of dilapidated farm equipment, was the perfect juxtaposition for these luscious designs – and once again asked us to reevaluate the concept of What makes something Beautiful.  And if we allow ourselves to see past the “Beautiful-Fashion”, there may be a deeper message lurking… Calling on us to revisit what we’ve left behind, in a effort to Resurrect potent pieces from our own history, or possibly breath new life into them.
