Crystal Renn & Maryna Linchuk by Hong Jang Hyun in ‘Birthday Girls’ W Korea

The Power of Pastels is undeniable this year, and any way you want to integrate it into you wardrobe or beauty regime, is right on trend this Spring.  So don’t waste time huntin’ for eggs this Easter, make your “hunt” a search for the perfect punch of color to add to your fashion statement.  The March issue of W Korea celebrates seven years, with as many models, all wearing “candy-colored” wigs for their anniversary cover/editorial. Featuring models including, Crystal Renn & Maryna Linchuk, Hong Jang Hyun’s images are as cool and sophisticated as they are playful.  With a bevy of beauties lounging around in layers of neon-colored tulle, the girls are the picture of “Confection-Couture,” wearing this season’s “sweetest” looks by Louis Vuitton, with bright-colored hair to match.  Making a huge splash on the Spring 2012 Runways, the “painted-hair” trend was seen from such designers as Thakoon & Jeremy Scott.  And while painting your entire head may be too avant-garde for most of us, we are seeing versions of this look pop-up in the form of, single painted stripes, or varieties of clip-ons & extensions – all paying tribute to this year’s “love affair” with all things Pastel.  It’s a full-on girlie-girl moment…just embrace it.  Images via FGR.
