‘Portrait of a Woman Combing her Hair’ by Richard Burbridge, Dazed & Confused

Hair goes haute-couture extreme in Richard Burbridge’s, ‘Portrait of a Woman Combing her Hair,’ for the November 2012 issue of Dazed & Confused.  Coiffure goes high concept with an exotic mix of fur and extensions, entwined to create stunning hair sculpture.  Teetering tresses are teased and weaved into gravity defying architectural sensations, propped precariously atop this season’s edgiest fashions. Bodies are bound in an intricate series of braids, while Bob Recine’s flare for the dramatic makes for pure avant-garde artistry. From Ethereal-Goddess to Warrior-Princess, each image is dedicated to a heroic female archetype – beautifully portrayed by models; Lida, Madison & Ruby Jean.  Source (Tarsha’s Glossy Newsstand).
