Vogue Japan Beauty

Maryna Linchuk finds her way into the cartoon world of ‘Playing with Color’ by Lacey for the March issue of Vogue Japan.  Inspired by American artist, Roy Lichtenstein, (makeup artist) Andrew Gallimore and (stylist) Beth Fenton create a vision of modern Pop Art Beauty.  A dream come true this kitchy fashion fantasy is a girl’s version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Candy colored designs all dancing in a row, each image is more delicious than the last. Translating trends, a series of interpretive looks are inspired from this Spring’s hottest new print styles.  Beauty is put on blast with makeup made to create the illusion of animation.  Graphic eye-popping patterns are painted on the lids and nails, while the lips are finished with a fusion of bright colors, also known as this season’s Two-Toned trick.  So prepare yourself for a high-octane season filled with fabulous fashion and an explosion of bright color combinations.
