How To Pick Out the Best Fall Looks from the Crazy-Cool Catwalk Drama

TopShopUnique’s Fall 2010 collection is a perfect example of the importance of fine tuning your skills of fashion discernment/deduction.
There are 2 potential pitfalls when trying to emulate a runway look.  Being intimidated by the extreme styling on the catwalk and discarding all options – or conversely being overtly literal and attempting to translate the exact look from the runway 2 the street.

The looks from FASHIONOLOGIE’S great write-up on London Fashion Week ’10, are an example of exciting on-point trends hidden in high-concept styling.  So my job is to extrapolate and highlight those hidden gems so we don’t miss a great opportunity to enjoy a new look or a great spin on an existing one. Some of the great TopShop trends we can all enjoy this season are:  thick knit leg-warmers (great over jeans & under boots),  fantastic faux fur jackets, skinny-belt for more tailored military look, variety of cropped jacked in military green,  fabulous ankle-boots ( TopShop faux fur suede flat buckle boot) & and quirky t-shirts always give a look a very chic edge.
