The Ethereal Beauty of Valentino

Blushing Beauty was the name of the game at the Valentino 2011 Spring/Summer Collection.  In contrast to the over-the-top Couture Paris Fashion Week was churning out last week, Valentino’s designs almost felt rebellious.  The fresh ethereal pieces seem to float down the catwalk – yet his twist on the bare-face had a kind of forward power with a futuristic feel.

The Butterfly neck-pieces were breathtaking and so unique it seemed to lengthen the model’s necks to inhuman proportions, proving the Haute Couture has many colors – or in Valentino’s case – no color.
