Invasion of the Slouchy Spring Boot

Whether it’s cut-off shorts, mini-skirts, frilly white dresses or fun floral prints… This Spring they are all being paired up with the fabulous slouchy boot.  Sticking with basic-black and a variety of earth tones, Isabel Marant’s Spring 2011 line-up built an entire Collection around the Soft-Suede-Slouchies.

While you won’t see me in short-shorts anytime soon – with or without boots – I’m absolutely loving this trend.  And I’m thinking that as long as there is a bit ‘o skin showing, we can pair this look with almost anything.  Think – Your fave boyfriend jeans rolled up, skinny jeans rolled mid-calf or cut-off below the knee, or just your best go2 denim skirt 4 some rock’n’roll Chic.  Adding a slouchy boot to any ruffled prairie knee-length dress will give it a distinct vintage vibe, while throwing a  plaid button down shirt in the mix, will give you a laid-back edge and chill feel 4 Spring.
