The Red-Carpet Emmy Dresses, Did You Get a Fashion-Rush?
Posted Sep 19, 2011
Maybe it’s the lingering buzz from Spring Fashion Week, but I was hard-pressed to conjure up any real excitement about the Red-Carpet Fashions for this year’s Emmy Awards. Right from jump, it felt very “been there done that”, and had a strange matronly quality. I wasn’t feelin’ the High-Fashion last night, but then again maybe I’m just too jaded – covering one too many wicked fashion editorials. Anyway, among the style-crowd we had our typical, “Dress that Matches the Red Carpet Crowd”, “Nude/Blush/Gold/Champagne Crowd”, “Black Satin/Beads/Lace Crowd”, “Blue Crowd”, and the “I’m going to pretend I’m at the Oscar’s – long train Crowd.” Heidi Klum’s dress, made by “Project Runway” past winner Christian Sirianno, was among my favorites, while Gwenyth Paltrow looked anything but “Runway Chic” in her belly-baring Pucci – seriously sad. Here’s hoping the Oscar’s will get our fashion-juices flowing – and get me out of this rut.
I have been following this site for over a year and am continued astonished at the quality of coverage. I am most impressed with this authors style of writing.
