Muse’s “Full On” Fabulous Editorial with Toni Garrn
Posted Sep 19, 2011
This Season don’t leave your “Bomb-Shell” behind. This Beauty-Archetype is often left out of the high-style pantheon of images we try to reinvent/update each year. Often misunderstood as unsophisticated or not “Runway Worthy,” there’s plenty of references to draw on that don’t include the typical “Marilyn Monroesque” types. My modern Bomb-Shell is some kind of “Glamazon” version of Sharon Tate. Enter Toni Garrn, as the “Red Lady” in this amazing Cover/Editorial by Mariano Vivanco for the September Issue of Muse Magazine (images via fashiongonerogue.com). In such designs as Prada, Isabel Marant, and Ferragamo – she embodies everything I imagine a Modern-Bombshell should be. One part cool-blonde, one-part 60’s-chic, and one-part super-model glamazon – the kind of combustible-beauty meant to blow your mind.
Your ability to take fashion coverage to a smart and unique level is truly amazing. We all deserve more from your talented and clever writing. Looking forward to seeing you published. A continued and faithful fan.
