Go “Mad for Mod” With 60’s-Chic Makeup & Hair Trends
Posted Dec 12, 2011
Try adding a little 60’s-Mod to your beauty routine this holiday season, with side-swept bangs and that delicious “Bardot-Bump.” First perfected by 60’s icon, Brigette Bardot. When you mix this look with big “Twiggy” eyes and pink pouty-lips, you can make a serious beauty statement. Find a way to mix Winter whites with creams, and you will become a 60’s vision-in-white. For a more updated version of this beauty-trend, try adding the “crown-bump” to straight hair and editing the makeup. Exchanging the heavy-bronzer with a light dusting of rose-blush, and finding a soft petal-pink gloss (instead of the 60’s “frosted-lip”) will give this look a fresh twist. Or get inspired by mixing in modern, chunky accessories – like seen here on Yulia T, shot by Danielle Midenge for Marie Claire South Africa. Take inspiration but be inspiring, and make this look your own. Images via Fashionising.com.
