Lara Stone Takes on a Darker Marilyn Monroe from “The Misfits”

Lara Stone’s brave depiction of the darker side of Marilyn Monroe shows us we haven’t seen all that this talented model has to offer.  A good model can tell any story asked of her simply through her eyes, a great model takes it to another level of “acting” and uses her voice/body.  And then you bring into the mix the incomparable Peter Lindbergh, who’s eye for raw, cinematic beauty is unparalleled, and who’s ability to match exquisitely women with drastic environments and unique “co-stars.”  Like all great artists Peter Lindbergh’s work has a signature style that is so stunning in it’s starkness and so beautiful in it’s bleak-appeal, the viewer is drawn into the experience on a level far deeper that your average high-fashion layout.  Finding his “leading lady” becomes more than booking the next “Super-Model” she has to be able to carry her role, for Lindbergh’s vision to be realized.  Images via FashionGoneRogue.com.
