Style-Rebel Christina Ricci Devours 60’s-Chic in Oyster Magazine
Posted Jan 29, 2012
Devouring the cult 60’s vibe like only a true fashion-rebel could, Christina Ricci digs into this style-story like a kid-to-cake. While this quirky actress has always had a bit of a “cult-status” herself, looming just enough outside the lines of popular-culture to make her seem a bit more interesting than your everyday starlet, she’s always had a strong sense of personal style. And while I haven’t loved all of her fashion choices, she is fully committed to who she is, never allowing the “Hollywood-Machine” influence her life choices. She is one of those people you just can’t help but admire, regardless of what of the finished product. She emotes a kind of authenticity that is truly enticing, and one that Oyster Magazine has captured in it’s all it’s glory. Quickly becoming one of my current obsessions, Oyster creates the perfect layouts for me to create my fashion stories around. In the current issue, Gregory Harris goes “mining” for a new take on 60’s-inspired in “The Ricci Life,” and hits fashion-gold with this sultry look at a decade that was as much about deviance as anything. There’s a real sense of mischievous-energy, as this young couple seeks to escape the restraints of society, and runaway together. Images via FashionGoneRogue.com.
