“The Obsession” a Hitchcock-Style Fashion-Tale in W Korea
Posted Feb 14, 2012
In this eerie Fashion-Tale of Nurse Gone Mad, Nimue Smit does her best rendition of “Straight-Jacket Chic” for Philip Riches “The Obsession.” Set inside a 50’s Psychiatric Hospital, Nimue’s character is in the perfect position to “capture” the man of her “obsessions,” while locked inside these sterile white institution walls. Shot for the latest issue of W Korea, this layout is shown with all the cinematic suspense of a Hitchcock film. Slipping further from sanity, we watch as the stark environment takes it’s toll on our heroine, turning her mad. In some of Spring “coolest-whites,” we watch as our our “sweet” little nurse goes from stylish to sadistic in one deadly stare.
