Spring’s Print-Trend on Fire in Elle UK’s “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”

David Vasiljevic’s “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” gives us the best Spring has to offer in wearable-prints, from the likes of DSquared2, Yves Saint Laurent, Moschino and Stella McCartney.  Alexandra Tomlinson shines in “daytime-friendly” patterns for the April issue of Elle UK.  These dynamic print varieties will allow you to enjoy the full privileges of this trend, while reducing the “risk-element” that comes with more extreme pattern styles.  I’ve had to train myself to understand that “commercial” isn’t a dirty word.  My first impression of this layout was that it felt a little “catalog” for my taste, however, upon closer examination I had to admit that what they are giving us is a beautiful “blueprint” for one of this season’s hottest trends.  In looks that are very relatable, these images provide real lessons in how to mix & match different patterns/textures/colors palettes, with results that are incredibly chic.  A lesson – I would dare say – we could all learn from.  Images via FGR.
