Steven Meisel Brings the “Collections” to Vogue Italia
Posted Jul 10, 2012
With a flare for the dramatic, Steven Meisel directs his vision in the form of Fashion-Vignettes, bringing a cinematic style to the July issue of Vogue Italia. Featuring Fall 2012’s greatest, “Collections,” each elaborate set is designed to tell a unique sartorial story. A new kind of “Fashion Show” every frame plays a different avant-garde fairy tale, ripe with possibility and fertile with fantasy. A vanguard of the forward movement, Meisel creates “modern-windows,” giving us a peak into the future. A view of the wildly inventive worlds these master designers inhabit, these amazing images represent the eccentricity of the industry. Gone are the days of sterile reproductions, these are masterfully crafted illusions, created for our viewing pleasure. With some of modeling’s up/coming stars including, Vanessa Axente, Machenzie Drazan, Julia Nobis, Elena Bartels, Lida Fox, Erjona Ala, Hedvig Palm, Ophelie Rupp, Ros Georgiou and Lula Osterdahl – we see looks from Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, Valentino, Prada, Givenchy, Lanvin and more, in stunning presentation.
