Mischa Barton ‘The Beautiful Lie’ by Robert Charbonnet, Volt Magazine

There’s nothing like a little reinvention to lift a girls spirits.  Starring in Robert Charbonnet’s ‘The Beautiful Lie’, Mischa Barton looks positively transformed (or is that reformed) in the Fall issue of Volt Magazine.  Either way, this girl shows up ready to play in retro inspired looks that give the 60’s style a serious update.  Barton puts her stunning bone structure to work in this modern interpretation of the era’s most famous beauty trends. Trading in the beloved beehive & winged-eyes for tousled tresses and softer lines stylist, Cynthia-Lawrence John, takes the best parts of the original look and tweaks them to perfection. Gorgeous in black & white, we are reminded why this girl hit so hard in the beginning of her career, and that (despite her disposition) she does have a very compelling quality.  In the end it’s all about talent, and if this layout is any indication of where her head is at, I say, someone start filming now.
