Yumi Lambert plays a modern ‘Pop Geisha’ in the March cover/editorial of Jalouse Magazine. Erwin Olaf combines the exotic mystery of the East with the quirky quality of the suburban West, for a beautiful blend of opposites. Going for a little creative couture, (stylist) Jennifer Eymere mixes high-end fashion with household materials, while Cyril Laloue dares to defy tradition with hyper-modern makeup. I love a geisha-girl that recycles. Playing with plastic, Lambert dons a wild shaped saran-wrap style hat, while a perfectly placed plastic veil falls down her back in triumphant transparency. An ode to the art of transformation, Olaf proves that this Spring’s Asian inspired looks are anything but outdated. From the Prada platforms to the futuristic kimonos this edgy editorial brings the best of the west to the chicest of the East for a cultural collaboration unlike we’ve ever seen.
