Julia Frauche is In-it to Win-it in ‘Marathon Woman’ by James Macari for Grazia France

Julia Frauche merges sports and style in ‘Marathon Woman’ by James Macari for the March 2013 issue of Grazia France.  Frauche is in-it to win-it, in the first of the season’s high fashion sport-couture stories, highlighting a variety of Spring’s athletically inspired looks. Bringing fashion to the field, (stylist) Candice Fauchon celebrates this creative collaboration by gathering a group of eclectically energetic ensembles. Embracing the fast-paced lifestyle of the 21st century, many cutting-edge designers have begun implementing modern interpretations of sportswear into their lineup.  In an era that expects fashion to filter into every area of a woman’s life, the number of collections that are including this genre have exploded over the last few years. And with the current phenomenon of blending high/low brands, I imagine this trend will only increase.  So while some of these eccentric examples of sportswear couture are a little beyond practicality (and our price point), the concept behind them is compelling.  It’s all about how you “play” the fashion market.  Sure, some style choices might be risky, but experimenting with crazy combinations may return the greatest results.
