Mary Quant remade, Janice Alida takes us to the heights of reinvention in ‘Modern Monochrome’ by John Scarisbrick for Intermission Magazine Issue 7. Borrowing from the androgynous beauty of such 60’s icons as Penelope Tree, Edie Sedwick & Twiggy, the combined efforts in this exquisite editorial have elevated the Mod-Narrative to another level. Moving us toward a creative crescendo, Tom Van Dorpe’s commitment to the creative expansion has culminated in a series of dynamic editorials that have literally exploded off the page. A commanding presence this season, Van Dorpe’s purist ways have continued to make him a standout star and a stylist by which all others are compared. Known for his dedication to the art of high fashion, he is always seeking out dynamic ways to celebrate the lines of style in an effort to expose the elements of design in their finest form. Beautifully balletic his unique brand of fluidity has truly made a mark on the landscape of Spring 2013 style, and redefined the concept of vintage inspiration.
