Anouk Torsing Does the ‘Hippie Hippie Chic’ for Thomas Cooksey in How To Spend It

So nice they had to say it twice, Anouk Torsing does the ‘Hippie Hippie Chic’ for Thomas Cooksey in How to Spend It Magazine. Artful eclecticism taken to infinite. Today’s bohemian trend is a quirky combination of modern exotics and retro extremes, with influences ranging from Victorian era hoop skirts to 70’s Glam Rock. An acquired taste, these heavily layered looks require the expert hand of (style-maker) Damian Foxe to mine through the madness. Not for the faint of heart, this dizzying mix of diverse patterns & pop-inspired prints are fun and fantastic on the page but they don’t always translate to real life. Because, when it comes to mixing and matching it’s very easy to go from high-end eclectic to out-there eccentric. So while Foxe hit it out of the park with his haute combos, we might want to take a cue from the concept, but leave the theatrics behind.
