Alyona Subbotina is part of the urban tapestry in ‘Street Art’ by Stian Foss for the September 2013 issue of L’Officiel Paris. From straight forward portraiture to the enlightened illusions of abstract impressionism, this eclectic editorial combines traditional forms of modern art with the stimulating world of stylized vandalism. Inspired by the environment Vanessa Bellugeon builds a series of layered looks meant to mimic the styles of the neo-graffiti culture. With radical references that range from razor-blade earrings to a hollowed out skull purse, these critically cool looks deliver a kind of richness and depth often reserved for more alternative designs. Only the wings remain the same, getting into the philosophy of the streets (makeup artist) Sergio Corvacho leaves his mark with double-winged eyes that show up in every shot like a wink to the world.
