Adriana Lima is twice as nice for the doubly-cool conceptual covers by Inez & Vinoodh for Garage Magazine #5 F/W 2013. Taking inspiration from their Urban Cowgirl style editorial, Inez & Vinoodh collaborated with modern artist John Baldessari to create this captivating cover couple, using Lima’s smokin’ hot silhouette as a starting point. Taking an abstract approach to the image Baldessari fills in various parts of her body with primary colors, giving the shot a “Warhol” inspired Pop-Art feel. Playing with our minds the group at Garage keep the eccentricity going by adding almost no writing to the powder pink covers, a somewhat esoteric approach for something that’s been coined The Words Issue. Quirky, cool and always on the cutting-edge, when it comes to celebrating the creative side of pop-culture no one does it better than the pioneers at this righteously, relevant publication.
