Kinée Diouf stars in a dream sequence unlike we’ve seen in ‘It’s My Turn’ by Viviane Sassen for the F/W 2013.14 issue of AnOther Magazine. Liberating the imagination Sassen takes us through a series of surrealistic scenes in this editorial allegory that dares to discover a deeper psychological truth. A shifting medley of symbolism & style (Fashion Editor) Mattias Karlsson uses ambiguous forms of abstract expression to create the illusion of artful escape. By incorporating the incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter the resulting visual distortion leads to an explosion of subconscious expression. A profound piece of high fashion poetry, Kinée is the picture of female-empowerment as she floats through each frame fighting for freedom from that which holds her down. By cutting off our connection to reality this Dada inspired conceptual creation uses the intentional elements of abstract distraction to convey hidden messages to the sub-conscious mind.
