Lili Sumner sinks into a state of surrealism in ‘Une Fille Andalou’ a story shot by Thomas Goldblum for Vulture Magazine. The intermingling aspects of the universe are unleashed, in this inspired vision of lost love. Set Designer, Jean-Hughes de Chatillon, reflects the rivalry of reality by creating images that celebrate the sounds of silence. The anomaly of artistry unfolds as the lurid nature of life is exposed. Neo-Color erupts, as (Stylist) Darryl Rodrigues delves into a dream with decadent fashions done in black and white. A provocative take on the power of time, beauty speaks, as the clicking of the clock cures my aching heart. Hairstylist, Javier Palacio, captures love’s golden light by letting Sumner’s blonde locks fly free. The sublime nature of surrealism is revealed in, Un Chien Andalou, an evocative short filmed by Luis Buñuel/Salvador Dali. “The contradictory aspects of the universe intermingle, as life is at once death, illusion is truth, night is day, and opposites coexist in a state of unified tension, and all this without facing the tribunal of “logic”.”
The scissors of sweet sadness…
cut with every scream,
leaving remnants of
my broken heart
lost inside a dream.
Brooding beauty
in the backseat,
sitting in the sun,
leave when you’re not watching
come when you’re undone.
The stalwart sounds of silence
fill my aching ears,
with lurid lies of loveliness
that cue the torrid tears.
I cocoon inside my sadness
with burdens borne to ride
up against life’s ticking clock
where secrets tend to hide.
