Charlotte Carey rides on the ‘Reverse’ side in this captivating cover shoot by Dennis Stenild for Revs Magazine No.11. Up is down and down is up as we take a trip into another world. To express without evoking to scream without sound, this story celebrates the art of now. Stylist, Ellen Loftsdottir, lures us in with caustic costumes that fan the flames of fabrication. From neo-natural to avant-garde excess, each picture is a play on bi-lateral blending. Blinded by Beauty Embolden by Faith… theatrical color creates the face, as (Makeup Artist) Jan Stuhr paints a pioneering pantomime with cosmetic cover. High brows blow over the skin with blackened eye-lines that forge their way up the forehead. Red lips rage on with a carmine colored kiss that captures the flame of the fire. Doubling down, one gets the sense that this is a fierce female fighting to find her power. Charlotte embraces the modern Geisha with pictures that peek into life’s possibility. Hair pieces top things off with wigged out works that are coiffed up and curled. With embellished features used to enhance facial expression, her profile eats up any sense of postured affectation. The power of all white powder is unleashed as we celebrate the future of fashion.
