Harleth Kuusik carries a secret longing by Karen Collins shot for Numéro Tokyo, August 2015. Clouds of chaos fill the aire as sounds of silence elude me. Walls peel in pieces as poetic paint chips fall all around. Stylist, Felipe Mendes, looks at avant-garde fashion through the lens of lunacy. What I ache to understand I long to ignore, what I long to love I deign to deplore. Echos of odyssey aim to be seen like arrows of emptiness carried through the wind. I seek somber shades that fill the lids as I cradle the space with loneliness left. The power of deep purple erupts leaving other colors to merely follow. Lit from within, (Makeup Artist) Alice Lane steals the show with skin that glows with auric ecstasy. Like tiny planets flying around the sky, golden glitter surrounds the eyes. Angelic features back up the act with deep amethyst shadows that spark hard. Beauty bares itself as purity is seen in the form of a futuristic face. Hairstylist, Romina Manenti, delivers a dew ripe with vintage flavor but screaming with modern fun. Accessories pop off the page, with full-fingered rings and hoops running the entire length of the ear. Dreaming of decadence while drowning in dilapidation, this story speaks of the splits we are to endure as we walk down the path of reminiscence. Love Comes Calling… Poem of Purpose
Love Comes Calling…
I ache to devour
I dare to ignore
I long to love
I seek for more
somber days
and dismal nights
I cradle loneliness
that holds me tight
I wait for the wonder
to knock at my door
the furlong of fire
that lets me explore
echos of odyssey
bare the between
arrows of emptiness
are forever foreseen
so… I’ll ride on the winds
and buckle in tight
for this is when life
will be outta’ site.
