Julia Bergshoeff opens her eyes to the diversity of art in “les Yeux de Julia” shot by Inez & Vinoodh for Vogue Paris, June/July 2016. Bejeweled beauty becomes from the opulence of emeralds to the power of pearls, decadence drips over the body exposing us to diverse diamonds. Emmanuelle Alt captures a creative array of crafted couture, as the finery of frippery amps fashions up with brooches, bracelets, pendents and earrings. Adorned in an audacious array of excess bling, this story brings in a beguiling blend of extra embellishments. Artistic accouterments decorate the skin, as ice wraps around the wrist while white-diamond rings crawl up the fingers. Alt has an ability to display with distinction undisputed, even when styles are only visible from the chest up. Passion ignites as fashion delights, with fabrics that extend from patent-leather to neoprene-plastique.
~ Curves are cast over the body, giving opulence a moment to shine, from the nape of the neck to the crux of the chest, all things shimmer in the light of divine. Backed by black – gemstones ignite – lighting up the darkest of days, as neon flashes – colors erupt – letting passion turn into the art of display. A graceful glide to glory is met on higher ground, from the soul of skin to the heart within, diamonds are merely the shelter that’s found ~ poetic prose – tanyajo
Change takes place from face to face, bringing forth the brilliance of creative cosmetics. As the craft of modern makeup explodes, Lisa Butler introduces a new brand of beauty. A crystal covered snake slithers around the head, artfully landing on the tip of the lip, leaving an S-shaped ring dangling in-between the curvaceous mounds of the mouth. Lady-light offer a flash of white, lining the lids with a gorgeous glow. Letting huge emerald eyes invite us inside, leading to a trail of teal tears. Like images seen on the big screen swagger is formed on the forehead of dreams. John Travolta is worn well, as his likeness is depicted across the front of Julia’s face. Hairstylist, James Pecis, creates a splash with a black wig that’s cut like a nest of coiffure, to a diamond headband dangling down. Millinery makes an appearance, from a beguiling, blue bowler and tall, leopard fedora, to a 40’s bowed-topper surrounded in pearls. Fantasy is found in the transformation of skin, allowing us to imagine what’s hidden within… Her Lion Eyes tell a tale of triumph, as character inspiration is met in this making of pure magic.
