Lara Stone and Freja Beha Erichsen get in touch with their inner power by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue Italia, 05/16. To see the forest for the trees is this soul-stirring journey of magic and mystery. Dispelling the notion of good versus evil, opposites attract as fashions unite. Stylist, Clare Richardson, forges together two sides of the same coin by fusing shades of light and dark. Ethereal pieces flow through the air allowing us to simmer in the power of now. Bringing forth the element of enticement, capes fly off shoulders exposing the clean lines of bathing suits below. Naked makeup becomes as Stéphane Marais uses beauty to symbolize the art of the unknown. Shadows race around the lids giving off a darkened glare, as eyes invite a sense of solemnity, thrilling with a piercing stare. Moving through the mind, art is unleashed as the skin emits an ethereal glow. Sisters embrace the energy of the outdoors as each body possesses the spirit of truth. Putting her powers to the test, Lara holds out her hand as a silver ball spins above. Unafraid to explore these women allow the ferocity of the female spirit to soar.
A Tale of Two Women… through the misty clouds of wonder swimming to the sea, flying through the magical forest and over the mystical trees. Up in the sky you’ll catch me on high, where I’ll be seen in a slow motion dream. Levitating above the ground, what we witness is all around, black is white, left is right and all things go silent in the dead of night. Something wicked this ways comes is not how it would sound, for what I am is what I’ll be ~ a lover of life, hope and destiny… poetic prose – tanyajo
