Issa Lish, Sora Choi, Mae Lapres, Manami Kinoshita, & Sohyun Jung show us that under the cover of darkness, a new age is coming in “Cut Loose” by Mikael Janssen for Interview Magazine, March 2017. They speak about “a new femininity suffused with strength and uninhibited sexuality.” And, while I am one that feels the female has always been a creature ripe with strength and real prowess, I’m always ready to welcome in a new wave of lady lions. Fierce females, free to hold down the fort for women everywhere. The standing is a strong one, as we watch the fire of feminine power ripping through the page. An editorial oozing with sexual vitality. This story embraces the overt action of intention ~ as it releases a kind of underlying energy. No insult meant, but when you’re looking to capture the subtlety that leads to titillation, you have to be able to tackle the truth. So here we are taking on a tale teaming with what I loving refer to as, the anti-testosterone. And my proud sisters, I think that says it all.
Ludivine Poiblanc succeeds in showing us an array of somber shades, from molten gray to flat black. Exquisite fashions flow in the realm of fabulous, with cut-out couture that has never looked so clean. Silky fabrics fall around the body showing just the right amount of skin. Proving that intricate design choices make for compelling construction. Accouterments bring high sparkle while patent leather steals the show. Bathed in a scorching hue, Manami Kinoshita poses out in dramatic form. Wearing a daring one-piece decorated in shooting stars, she stands with her back facing us, as her legs split like a Rockstar. Flooded in a sea of scarlet, passion projects a sense of spirited entanglement, as red light scorches the night.
Mae Lapres subtly seduces with her sweet allure, as she wows us in a Jean Paul Gaultier vintage jacket with gloved extensions. Balenciaga and Giuseppe Zanotti prove opposites quite certainly do attract, while Balmain and Balenciaga are a combination that just won’t quit. Lip to lip never looked so good as Versace and Jason Wu get up close and personal. Céline & Fendi wrap themselves around each other, while a Paco Rabanne stole is thrown over the shoulder with effortless ease. Flanked by bodyguards this tranquil beauty walks in ease, wearing a one-piece Cushnie et Ochs with wild cutouts, under a long cape with dramatic flair. Highlighted by tattooed stars running across the chest, the next dress is so distinct it needs no introduction. The crowd erupts as the ~ Saint Laurent “Mono-Boob” ~ makes an appearance. May I have your attention please… as the final fashion layout is a compilation so compelling… I can hardly speak.
Gorging on gorgeous, Hannah Murray makes this editorial a feast for the senses. Blood thirsty and beautiful these girls pull us into a pleasure seeking state, as colors transform from black to a ravenous red. Hannah lines the eyes in ebony, hitting the lids with a hint of shimmer. Powdered skin gives off a subtle glow, while the mouth makes a statement, with a defiant shade that screams to be seen. The face makeup is merely the pre-show, as the star is clearly the Liquid Black Lips. Shay Ashual keeps things slick and shiny with flowing locks that blend right in, while Sung’s hair stays short, sleek and straight-up chic. Haute couture comes in with a cool vibe as the erotic connection captures our imagination. Issa asks us to Leave Our Worries Behind as we enter into her Queendom of Pleasure.
