Hunter Schafer offers an open invitation to the scene in ‘Welcome to Generation V‘ by Inez & Vinoodh for V Magazine, Spring #124. ‘Rock and Romance‘ is a cover story dedicated to the art of transitioning and the beauty of becoming. Hunter shares with us strength that can only be garnered through the act of living honestly. Here we see no delineation between the active artistry of styling, hair and makeup. Alex White offers an organic approach to styling, one where vines stretch over her body connecting it to the earthly surround. Angelic Wings appear as if merely an extension of couture. However, when one stares into the shot we see the symbolism rise forth and shine. Nature is not above or below, nor does it surround. We Are Nature… And Nature Is We… Each Part Exists Independently. While We Strive to Thrive On Our Own… Connection is Our Only Way Home!

I am a woman of many colors. I honor my independent spirit. I cherish the collective force that binds us together. No matter where in this vast universe we reside… we are one with the universal sun. What I mean to project is our endless ability to connect. We are living in times of adversity. Great turmoil is upon us as we face the inevitable. Strength is found as bravery is abound. Our challenge is to tap into that shared energy. We Are Figures of Grace Put on Earth Not to Escape or Succumb but to Become One With Our Surroundings. Finding peace is not the result of becoming paralyzed to stimuli. Nor, is it the maintaining of one’s emotions to appear unaffected by said stimuli. In essence… becoming numb. We know the only way to comprehend an emotion is to be conscious of it’s opposite counterpart. Catatonia doesn’t allow for that kind of intellectual interplay. You might be intrigued by the idea of less pain, or a lowering of heightened response. However, to lose any one of those “so called” negative responses, would leave you less equipped to intellectually/emotionally/physically deal with any given stimuli. Fear of the unknown is deeply uncomfortable and distinctly dark. There is so getting around that fact. Humans have many ways of dealing with such a burden, from deflection to denial. Two actions that never help the outcome. We are sentient creatures. Defined by our ability to conquer complex reasoning and utilize deep introspection. We are created to capture and designed to defy. That’s why I can say, without hesitation, that True Art is a Healing Animal. Fall Into the Sentient Spirit of Time and Travel Deep Into The Mind.
