Aquazzura ‘Royal Rebellion’ F/W 2012 Campaign

Diego Diaz Marin creates pure fashion fantasy in the F/W 2012 campaign for Aquazzura Shoes.  Stepping inside the aristocracy, ‘Royal Rebellion’ tells a tale of sex & intrigue, set against the backdrop of Italian nobility. Shot in the grand spirit of film noir, our shy, socialite wanders the grounds of her opulent, Palazzo, never to show her face.  Caught in a strange game of cat & mouse, she superstitiously slips in & out of hiding, only to be known by her long, lovely legs.

Proenza Schouler F/W 2012 Campaign

Forget any pretense this is just straight up rock & roll, & I love it.  Going for a little Joan Jett “Runaways” feel, the edgy line Proenza Schouler takes it to the 70’s, with Meghan Collison in their F/W 2012 Add Campaign.

Brian Atwood F/W 2012

All tied up and no where to go?  These works of leg-art will have you scouting spots for your next sexy-romp – and that will be, “With the Boots on – Thank You!”  Nothing will get your heart racing like a little leather & lace, especially when it comes in the form of Brian Atwood’s Thigh-High Boots.  Candice Swanepoel shows up and shows out, for Brian Atwood’s F/W 2012 Add-Campaign, shot by, “the kings of after dark,” Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Donna Karan F/W 2012 Add Campaign

Russel James Captures the pulse of the city in Donna Karan’s F/W 2012 Add Campaign, featuring Aymeline Valade.  Embracing the male-inspired trend, DK takes it to another level with overtly masculine looks, including fedoras & double-breasted suits, in a bold combination of black, white and red.

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2012 Campaign

Leave it to Mario Sorrenti to deliver a stand-out fashion story for the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2012 Add-Campaign. Eniko Mihalik and Kasia Struss look like style in motion, giving the high-end design house a little high-octane fun.

Versace Fall 2012 Campaign

Busting through the “color-barrier,” Mert & Marcus introduce a whole new spectrum-palette I’m calling, Platinum Neon, for the Versace Fall 2012 Add Campaign.  Exuding all the beauty and drama of black/white photography, this new look adds an other-worldly element, perfect for the religious iconography that marks this Collection.  With images that appear to have received a divine halo of light, the unique pieces are idyllically lit in this stunning showcase.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 Campaign

As the frantic race for fashion add-campaigns has commenced, a few stand-outs have begun to take their place at the head of the pack.  Staying true to his Muses of the Moment, Anna Piaggi and Lynn Yaeger, Marc Jacobs continued his eccentric trip down the Fall 2012 runway onto the pages of his 2012 A/W campaign.  In the spirit of all that is avant-garde and true, Jacobs seemed to dedicate this collection to the very Theater of Fashion.

Etro Fall 2012 Campaign

Mario Testino delivers one of the most dynamic & robust add campaigns for the Fall 2012 season (thus far).  Capitalizing on color, “Dapper Etro Autumn,” is an updated version of the Gucci-Neon from Fall 2011.  The vibrancy remains, but gone is the hazy, glossy finish.  Etro’s Fall 2012 campaign is all about crisp, clarity and deep saturation.  The message is “crystal clear,” this year the fashion statement is one of outspokenness.

Morfium Couture S/S 2012

These stunning images of Jefimija Jokic for the S/S2013 Morfium Couture Swimwear Collection, perfectly depict this lines’ unique philosophy on the art of fashion.  Taking swimwear to the next level, these unique pieces can be worn in a variety of ways, and to many different places (beyond poolside).  Morfium creates a very limited number of pieces through-out the year, meant to be collected – like works of art.

Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012

In this dynamic vision of Fashion as Modern-Art, Mary Katrantzou’ Spring 2012 Collection, aims at tying the worlds of avant-garde design with the environmental-aesthetic of nature as a scene.  In the bold scope of history we can draw upon a pantheon of reference material, combining modern industry with environmental influences, in an effort to produce any number of pleasurable palettes.

Balmain Spring 2012 RTW

The brilliance of Balmain is never more evident than in their Spring 2012 RTW Collection.  In all it’s androgynous-glory, they do what no one else can, make masculine-chic undeniably sexy.  Managing to tap into both the masculine & feminine sides of a woman, their designs have a kind of built in “street-chic” that makes them so cool, it’s almost unbearable.  For any real fashion lover, Balmain rates in the top10 obsess-worthy styles ever.
